Research and development of a highly autonomous road maintenance vehicle solution for identifying, fixing and monitoring road damage, cracks and potholes to allow for future road works to be done by machines instead of humans. Using mostly Python and C++ with ROS/ROS2 middleware and simulation packages such as Gazebo. I am also holding the title of Honorary Research Associate at the University of Liverpool within the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group

Primarily building/environment automation and control systems programming with Crestron for high-end residential, corporate/commercial businesses, academia and in the industrial sector. Also, development of new modules/drivers for Crestron primarily in C#, Python and C/C++ as well as other business areas such as augmented reality development (Android/Java) for industry 4.0 and microprocessor/electronics development. While working at Ultamation, we won the CEDIA 2018 Best Integrated Home – Global Award. As the only European company to have ever won this award, this was a huge achievement for us and possibly the most prestigious award to win within the Smart Home & Building industry.

From 2022-11-07 to current date

Working within the Assured Autonomous Systems group acting as a software subgroup lead and senior engineer working on low to mid TRL level research projects and product development for autonomous systems applications in a multitude of sectors. Mainly focusing on Python, C++ and C# languages and using robotics middleware frameworks such as ROS/ROS2 in a heavily Git and Docker focused development and deployment pipelines.
